3.2 sPrices depend on your address, so we quote for each site. Business NBN speeds are the tier maximum and run slower at busy times. Your NBN type decides which tiers you can get, so we check your address first. Not sure what FTTP or HFC means? Our guide to the NBN types explains each one. Enterprise Ethernet and fibre typically take 6 to 8 weeks to install. Download times are worked out at each tier’s full speed.

The Basics
Business internet, also called business broadband, is an internet service built for commercial use. A business-grade connection suits teams that rely on video calls, cloud apps, VoIP phones or moving large files between sites, where peak-time slowdowns and dropouts cost money.

Choose your connection and speed, and add a phone system, managed IT or backup on the same monthly bill.
Business NBN typically takes 1 day to 4 weeks, and Enterprise Ethernet or fibre 6 to 8 weeks. We manage the order for you.
We set up the router if you buy one from us, and our Brisbane helpdesk supports you from then on.

It depends on your address, team size and how much an outage would cost you. Business NBN suits many small offices. Larger or more cloud-reliant businesses often need fibre or Enterprise Ethernet, with a static IP, a managed router and 4G failover. Pick the plan that matches your site, not simply the cheapest or fastest one advertised. We supply and support business internet Australia-wide, with on-site teams in Brisbane and Melbourne.
It depends on the speed, the connection type at your address and what you add. Business NBN costs more than a home plan, and the price rises with faster speeds, stronger service levels or 4G failover. Symmetrical services such as Enterprise Ethernet and fibre cost more again, and add an uptime commitment and upload as fast as download. We quote the monthly cost for your address before you sign anything.
For most businesses, yes. Business NBN plans include things standard residential plans usually don’t, such as a static IP, business support and faster fault restoration options. If you use VoIP phones, cloud software, VPN, CCTV or remote access, a business plan is usually the better fit.
For a small office with light-to-moderate cloud use, 50/20 Mbps or 100/40 Mbps is often enough. If your team runs lots of video calls, large file transfers, cloud backups or VoIP, look at symmetrical speeds of 100/100 Mbps or more, where upload matches download. Upload, latency, router quality and contention affect real-world performance as much as the headline speed.
Video meetings, cloud backups, sending large files, hosted phone systems and remote CCTV access all depend on upload, not just download. They’re usually the first things to struggle on a low-upload connection. That’s why a symmetrical connection often performs far better for business than a high-download, residential-style plan.
You may need a static IP if your business uses VPN, remote desktop, firewall rules, CCTV remote access, hosted services, VoIP systems or secure external access. A static IP gives your business a fixed internet address, which makes these systems easier to manage and support.
Business NBN suits many small and medium businesses. Choose Enterprise Ethernet, a dedicated business-grade fibre service, if you need symmetrical speeds, more upload, stronger service levels or more reliable connectivity for critical operations. As a rule, weigh business continuity first, then performance, then price.
It depends on your exact address. Our fibre plans are limited to selected buildings, and Enterprise Ethernet needs a site that NBN’s fibre network can reach. Inside NBN Business Fibre Zones, in capital cities and regional centres including Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide, Enterprise Ethernet can cost less to build. We check your address before recommending a connection, so you’re not quoted for something that can’t be delivered.
Yes. Fibre to the premises (FTTP) runs fibre all the way into your building and gives the best speeds and reliability. HFC (cable) and fibre to the curb (FTTC) can also reach high speeds. Fibre to the node (FTTN) and fibre to the building (FTTB) use copper for the last stretch, which can limit speed, and fixed wireless can be affected by weather and distance from the tower. We check your address and connection type before recommending a plan. See our guide to the types of NBN.
Yes. Many businesses run VoIP phones and Teams Calling over Business NBN. Call quality depends on upload speed, latency, router quality, network setup and failover, not only download speed. Because we provide both the internet and the phone system, we design them together, which can make call quality issues quicker to diagnose than with separate providers.
If even a short outage would stop you taking payments, making calls or reaching cloud systems, failover is worth it. Without a backup, you can lose email, EFTPOS, VoIP phones and file sharing until the service is restored. A 4G backup connection sits alongside your Business NBN service and takes over automatically, so phones, EFTPOS and email can keep running. Its speed depends on mobile coverage at your site. For critical sites, we can also add a second fixed line from a different supplier or on a different physical route, so a single fault is less likely to take out both connections.
Mobile 4G and 5G speeds change with signal strength and network load. That’s why we offer 4G as a failover connection alongside Business NBN, and a second fixed line as the backup for Ethernet and fibre. If the main link drops, the 4G connection takes over automatically, helping keep phones, EFTPOS and email running.
A Business NBN connection typically takes between 1 day and 4 weeks, depending on building access and the NBN technology at your address. Fibre and Enterprise Ethernet typically take 6 to 8 weeks to install, and can take longer if your site needs new infrastructure, is heritage-listed or needs NBN to make changes at your address. We manage the order and installation and keep you updated on timeframes for your site.
In most cases we can keep downtime to a minimum. We set up your router and network in advance and schedule the cutover around your business hours. Some sites can run the new service alongside the old one until the switch, which can add a one-off NBN installation fee.
We provide and support business internet Australia-wide, including Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra and regional centres, and we can manage connectivity for offices in several states from one point of contact. Our on-site teams are based in Brisbane and Melbourne, with remote provisioning and support elsewhere. For remote or rural sites where NBN fixed-line services aren’t available or reliable, we can set up Starlink satellite internet. Not sure we cover your area? Contact us and we’ll check your address.
